Dr. Gilbert Birungi initiated the Mercy Bible Institute in 2017 with the primary purpose of providing training in Christian theology and ministry for individuals desiring to deepen their knowledge of God and serving Him. The pioneer students of this institute were enrolled in a Certificate program in Christian Ministry. They completed a nine-month program and were awarded a Certificate at a vibrant graduation ceremony. The vision for Mercy University has emerged from recognizing the significant needs of people who cannot afford the costs of public universities and ministers of the gospel who require training. Additional building structures are needed to accommodate all the programs. The University will offer the following courses starting with short courses, certificates, Diplomas, Bachelors Degrees, Masters, and PhD. * Business Administration, Counseling Psychology, Leadership, Management and Administration, Graphics and Videography, Education, Tourism, Theology, Agri-business, and others.
